Ceiling insulation

Warm air rises, so an uninsulated ceiling is where a house loses heat in winter and lets the roof's heat in during summer.

Ceiling framing ready for insulation

What it is

Ceiling insulation is batts or rolls laid between and over the ceiling joists, in the roof space above your rooms.

We fit glasswool and polyester products, matched to the R-value on your plans or the level the house needs.

When it goes in

New build

Ceiling batts go in once the roof is on, at the stage your builder schedules them, and to the R-value specified on the plans.

Building a new home

Existing home

In a lived-in house we work from the roof space. Thin, old or patchy batts can be topped up, and gaps left over the years by other trades can be filled.

Insulating your current home

How we install it

  1. Check the roof space: access, existing insulation, downlights, flues and fans.

  2. Lay batts to the specified rating, butted tight with no gaps between them.

  3. Keep the required clearances around downlights, flues and exhaust fans.

“Their team was professional, efficient, and delivered high-quality insulation that met all compliance standards. The thermal and acoustic performance of the homes is excellent.”
